OC VOICETEST FOR BRYN PENDRAGON
"claire don't you have enough OCs" nO
- Around twentyish years old, s m o l and petite like a strong breeze would blow her over. Has super long lilac hair and a rose growing in place of her right eye.
- Dressed in a very pretty froufy combo of a dress and armour, all in shades of white and lilac. She wields a spear.
- Charged up with the magic of a dragon, despite not actually being a dragon herself. She may ping as some combo of "dragon", "half-dragon" or "undead" to characters sensitive to magic.
- Much much MUCH more physically strong and resilient than her appearance lets on
- Book smart, educated and well-spoken but shockingly street dumb
- Curious and inquisitive, quick to learn, but also a total airhead
- Friendly, kind, well-meaning (mostly)
- Occasionally kind of smug and condescending to humans, as a result of being raised by a dragon
- Kind of an enormous rage-fueled mess on the inside but she's (not) coping. It's fine
- In apparent possession of any common sense or sense of self-preservation
- Genuinely cruel, actively malicious or mean-spirited to the average person
- Blessed with more than one single braincell
- Familiar with modern day culture or technology
- BRYN IS:
BRYN IS NOT:
Like my usual CMOs, I'm totally happy to roll with assumed CR, AUs, setting transplants, BASICALLY ANYTHING YA LITTLE HEART MAY DESIRE, I'M HERE TO GET ON WITH IT

Einar is backspacing.
Einar is typing some more. When Einar types, it takes a long time, because Einar types like an old fucking man holding a baby in one arm and his smartphone in the other.]
Dear Brynhilde,
I don't mean to accuse you.
[becaUSE HE FUCKING KNOWS IT WAS YOU, BRYN.]
I'm sorry. Largely, what I truly want to know is that you are safe, from any sort of disaster like the ones you mentioned. And that you and your companions are not also on fire.
Your brother,
Einar

Okay, now she feels kind of bad. Not about the fire thing but about the "yelling at her dumb brother when he's being nice and looking out for her wellbeing" and it leaves a horrible squirmy worm of guilt in her stomach that she's really not used to. But maybe we can count that as progress. ]
Yes, all of us are safe. We've gotten into a few scrapes, but nothing overly worrying. We've gotten very good at getting ourselves out of sticky situations. [ but not like, staying out of them in the first place, not even slightly. ] We may also be helping with the efforts to subdue the fire, entirely out of the goodness of my heart and not because of any involvement any of us may or may not have.

That's wonderful to hear. Perhaps then our paths will cross; Raskogr and I are to lend our aid to the barony as well. Will you be there long?
Your proud brother,
Einar

We don't have any plans to move on, at the moment. Even when the fires are quelled, I hope to help out with some of the rebuilding efforts. I can help with moving the heavier debris and building materials, at the very least and I'm sure Rakel and Reifr will have all sorts of ideas for what else we can do to help.

It eases my mind to know you have such thoughtful friends at your side, just as it warms my heart to know the people of Iðunn have your assistance. If I can say I've learned anything in my time, it's that one person's meager strength increases tenfold in true company.
May I hope to see you, then? I'll not trespass on your band if you don't yet wish to meet.
Your brother,
Einar

Pause.
Bryn is typing.
Pause.
... This repeats another few times, which is pretty out of character for Bryn who texts at approximately the speed of light. But eventually: ]
If you're going to be in Iðunn, it'd be silly for us not to meet. If you let me know where your lodgings are going to be, I can come and meet you there.
[ Hmm. She can do a little better than that, can't she? ]
It would be nice to work alongside you, with the relief efforts.

Dear Brynhilde,
I would like that very much.
[And then, in a second text:]
As I will be staying with the currently dispossesed baron and his family, however, perhaps I ought come to you instead?
O;)
(In case you don't know, that's meant to represent a winking face. Symbols like that are called smileys, because they are smiling. See?)
With gladness, your brother,
Einar

I will ask the owner of the inn we're staying with – I'm sure he wouldn't mind an extra guest or two, even with all the trouble.
But before you can come here you have to explain one thing.
O;) <- What's the circle for?

Regarding the "O" in "O;)": It is the shield I raised to hide my wink from my theoretical hosts, though of course I've not yet arrived to the barony.
Did I do it wrong? Despite several attempts, I could not depict my lifted shield arm with any clarity.
Your brother,
Einar

That's WAY too abstract for what you were trying to do!! I can't believe you've still not gotten the hang of this.
[ Bryn, who frequently gets owned by autocorrect, has no room to talk but it's nice to pretend that she does. ]
However, you'll be glad to know that the owner of our lodgings has said that he'll be happy to accommodate you, even though your smileys are terrible.
