YUURI WAKSA CMO POST
by a wild coincidence it's A YEAR TO THE DAY since my last yuuri cmo so this was good timing huh
you all know who rii-san is by now anyway this is just a fresh and spicy update to her usual CMO so i can throw it at people to make her play them with me. Like my usual CMOs, I'm totally happy to roll with assumed CR, AUs, setting transplants, BASICALLY ANYTHING YA LITTLE HEART MAY DESIRE, I'M HERE TO GET ON WITH IT

Meredith Baker | Children's Crusade OU/OC | murdergame trial, beach resort, she totally dunnit
The Sifu is dead. A trial must convene.
The facts of the matter include these: Once of the Anchor's regains was a gun, and ammunition; though she was not the only one to have a gun. Meredith hated the old pervert and was not shy about saying so. She regularly offered to do laundry for those who didn't know how to work the machines.
It's damning, though not only to her; one could say similarly damning things about the Heir, Ranma Saotome - or about the Thief, Sekhmet Clanclan.
So, sighing, Meredith makes her defenses:]
I'm not the only one with a gun or without an alibi. And for those of you who assumed Sekhmet was too low-tech to know how a gun works, not only did she say she was from a Renaissance world, which would have guns, but we've all seen her use a microwave and the DVD player without difficulty; some of us have experience with other worlds, like my time in Keystone Station; do we know she was originally from a low-tech fantasy world?"
[The Anchor looks so, so exhausted right now.]

And it's a shame, really. She'd liked Meredith, thought she was a kind girl who could be trusted. But she doesn't like her enough to throw herself under the bus.
So instead she just sighs. ]
Meredith-san. I'm not trying to target you unfairly or anything – you know I'm not stupid enough to try something like that when there's lives at risk. But if your only defense is "you can't completely prove it" then we're just going to go around in circles.
You really have no evidence you think could help? Nothing at all?
no subject
No. No, this... there isn't any point.
Nothing exonerating.
I will say that It wasn't Ranma. I didn't want his secrets coming out. Thier secrets.
So much for thier secrets not getting out, hah. I hope that the mastermind is proud of themselves.

[ Her voice is chilly, frozen over with anger as it often gets during trials. But there's something else under it too, a little murmur of disappointment. Despite everything... she really had expected better from Meredith. Maybe it was silly to expect anything from the people here or to bother trusting any of them.
But she'd liked Meredith. And she's surprised by how hurt she is to be proven right. ]
Can I take that to be a confession, then? If you're so confident in saying who was and wasn't involved.
age-down
Hi... Are you lost too?

So she stoops down to Mai's level and gives her best smile. ]
Not exactly... but I take it you are?
no subject
I don't know where we are. There's a bunch of other kids, but I don't think any of them are going to want to play with me.
[Come to notice, it looks like she's got a pink bunny-ear headband in one of her hands, dragging the ears on the floor.]
no subject
Well... do you remember where you were before coming here?

[ It's true enough for right now, anyway. ]
Your name is Kawasumi Mai-chan, right?
no subject
Uh-huh. Are you psychic? Or a witch?
no subject
Not exactly. How do I...
[ She thinks on it. Mai might be a child now, but she's not stupid and Yuuri needs her trust. ]
I guess you could say that when you grow up, you and I are going to be friends.
no subject
[She grips the headband tighter and looks up at Yuuri, shaking a little.]
And you're okay with that? Lots of people aren't.
no subject
[ Yuuri puts a finger to her lips, with a conspiratorial smile. ]
One of the best things about being a grown-up is being able to decide you don't care what anybody else thinks of you.

That sounds really nice, onee-san. Are all the other kids your friends, too?
no subject
[ She gives Mai a weary smile and then offers her a hand. ]
Should we go and find someplace to talk properly?
no subject
Okay. About what stuff?
no subject
[ She thinks she can say with some confidence Mai would not want to be stuck like this for an extended period of time. ]
You don't want to be stuck here, do you?
no subject
no subject
[ Hah. As if. ]
Do you think we can do that, Mai-chan?
