[ Meredith's not the only one who looks tired. Yuuri looks exhausted too, worn down to the point that she's almost all sharp edges, her previous softness gone. She hates trials, hates having to look people in the face and know one of them is willing to be a murderer however many times over. But they've been lucky so far and Yuuri intends to keep being lucky – you don't get a title like Survivor unless you're willing to fight tooth and nail to keep going.

And it's a shame, really. She'd liked Meredith, thought she was a kind girl who could be trusted. But she doesn't like her enough to throw herself under the bus.

So instead she just sighs. ]

Meredith-san. I'm not trying to target you unfairly or anything – you know I'm not stupid enough to try something like that when there's lives at risk. But if your only defense is "you can't completely prove it" then we're just going to go around in circles.

You really have no evidence you think could help? Nothing at all?

[ Her voice is chilly, frozen over with anger as it often gets during trials. But there's something else under it too, a little murmur of disappointment. Despite everything... she really had expected better from Meredith. Maybe it was silly to expect anything from the people here or to bother trusting any of them.

But she'd liked Meredith. And she's surprised by how hurt she is to be proven right. ]
