[ It... takes a while for Honoka to settle down once she gets to school.

She doesn't even bother questioning how Haruka did all this. She's long since learned to accept that there are just some things man (or in this case, school idol) wasn't meant to know. So instead she lets herself be content with following the janitors around and making them let her take selfies in front of all Haruka's decorations before they get taken down. At least until Umi bullies her into class.

Once lunch comes around, Honoka's all prepared to canvas the school with her phone to snap photos of any decorations she might have missed but before she can be on her way, she spots– ]

Haruharu!

[ – the main offended herself and promptly comes charging out of class to meet Haruka in what can only be described as a very affectionate body tackle. ]

[mopocalypse]

Whoa!

[Haruka gets bowled over and crashes into the opposite wall, but laughs and hugs Honoka back.]

I'm on a secret mission! See, I even got one of your guys's uniforms. I mean, it's a little too big, but it sorta fits. You never know what they're selling online these days, you know.

[korekara]

[ and of course, Honoka's still holding onto her. Incredible. ]

This is wild, Haruharu! How the heck'd you do all this?! Did you sneak in overnight?!

[mopocalypse]

[She'd pull back to smile, but she is kind of stuck against the wall, so instead she just laughs.]

You'd be surprised how easy it is to sneak in and out of a school at night if you're used to it! Yahaha. Though it did still take a couple tries to get everything in. So I just had to come and see how you and everyone else were reacting! That thing about returning to the scene of the crime or something.

[ Honoka giggles to herself, sounding almost deliriously gleeful at this prospect. ]

Oh my God, my girlfriend's a budding criminal. This is awesome.

[ She finally lets some of her weight up and off Haruka so she can offer her a hand to stand up with. ]

Here, c'mon! Let's go up to the roof and I'll show you all the pics I took!

[Haruka bursts into giggles and grabs Honoka's hand to get up.]

Great! Your guys's student council wasn't too mad, right? I mean, I have nothing against them or anything.

Oh, Eli-chan was steamed! I'm probably gonna get a major lecture at practice today.

[ But she doesn't sound remotely concerned. ]

I loooooved it! I went around for like, an hour before heading to class so I could get pictures of everything before they took stuff down!

Whoa! No wonder you were gonna get lectured. It's not gonna cause trouble for you, right? I mean, I took pride in ditching class all the time and stuff, but you're always saying you need to be in good standing for your guys's club.

It's fiiine! [ dismissive handwave. It's probably not fine. ] It was for a special occasion! It's not like I'm skipping class all the time. I mean, yeah, I fall asleep in class now and then but who doesn't?

[ And with that, they start clomping up the stairs together. ]

Good job the weather's so nice today, huh? Yeah, it's kinda chilly, but as long as the sun's out, we'll be fine!

That's true! I dunno what I'd have done if it were storming. I mean, probably just tried anyway. But I totally wouldn't have time to change into the other uniform and sneak into your school over lunch if the weather were getting in the way, and that's just sad, sad.

[ sounding moderately aghast: ] You couldn't come all this way in a storm! Especially with how rainy it gets around here! You'd get washed away and then we wouldn't be able to do anything for Valentine's!

[mopocalypse]

You'd find me in the harbour the next week, clinging onto a barrel and living on stuff that washed out to sea!

Okay, but how'd you survive a whole week out to sea? Wait, maybe it's like that one movie where it turns out the girl was a mermaid the whole time!

[ They're getting SO off track. ]

I dunno, if I were a mermaid, would I have to go around in a wheelchair and hide my tail with blankets? Or would I turn into one in water? Swimming in Phys.Ed would be pretty hard like that.

[She smiles, still holding Honoka's hand and happily waving to random passersby who are probably wondering who this even is.]

[ she's Honoka's girlfriend, duh!!! ]

I'd wheel you around everywhere! [ Honoka fistpumps with her free hand. ] And anytime you wanted to go for a swim, we'd go on like, a private beach date together!

[ Apparently, in this mermaid fantasy, Honoka owns a private beach. Don't question it. ]

Yeah, yeah! That's way better than being kept in a fish tank. Those get gross, gross, and no one ever wants to clean them. Uh, I forget which way we turn here.

Oh crap, we totally missed the stairs!

[ HONOKA, THIS IS YOUR SCHOOL. ]

[mopocalypse]

Bwah! [dramatic flail. why] Okay, so it's back there, right? Let's go!

[dragging... haruka you don't go here and your memory is full of holes, why do you think you can find it]

Yeah, yeah! If we just pick whatever stairs we see and keep going up, we'll get to the roof in no time!

[ They're gonna get SO lost. ]

[mopocalypse]

That makes sense! I mean, there's only one roof, right? And you go up there constantly, so you'd obviously know.

[korekara]

Chyeah, exactly! It's like, μ's own personal headquarters!

[ A pause. ]

Actually, y'know, I never checked if we're actually allowed up on the roof like that...
