OC VOICETEST FOR ASTER AZULINE ANBELL
yes, the three alliterative names were entirely necessary
Aster is a bratty tsundere princess from the kingdom of Anbell, third child to the royal family and essentially a spare kid. Happens to be her generations 'Scion', who is responsible for bringing life back to the world at the end of each Cycle, thus staving off the end of the world for the next few hundred years. Cliffnotes/quick overview for meme purposes below:

        ASTER IS:
      • Twenty years old, blonde and blue eyed, petite and pretty.
      • A princess and thus very much A Royal Young Lady
      • A "chosen one" character known as the Scion
      • Educated and cultured, well spoken, a bit sheltered
      • Grouchy, prickly and more than a little spoiled on the outside
      • Full of warm snuggly tsundere love on the inside and often unable to stop herself extending small kindnesses even if she's very "I–I DIDN'T DO IT FOR YOU BAKA" about it.
      • Carrying around four incredibly powerful magical artifacts inside herself at all times

      • ASTER IS NOT:
      • Possessed of much practical experience when it comes to pretty much anything
      • Very physically strong or fit
      • Particularly good at impulse control
      • Genuinely cruel, actively malicious or mean-spirited
      • Familiar with modern day culture or technology

Like my usual CMOs, I'm totally happy to roll with assumed CR, AUs, setting transplants, BASICALLY ANYTHING YA LITTLE HEART MAY DESIRE, I'M HERE TO GET ON WITH IT

[Mage has been travelling with these idiots interesting folks for a little while now. In that time, they've been learning what they can about the group. Observing. By now, they like to think they have a decent grasp on everyone's general demeanor. The little things that give away how they're doing.

They might not know what makes them tick, but they just about know when to expect an alarm to go off.

Aster has seemed a little... down. The stress of travel getting to her, perhaps? Or just the weight of this whole Scion business. Really, it could be anything, because everyone gets sad sometimes. Except Mage, obviously, because they don't feel anything, of course. But whatever the reason is, it's no good. Best to nip this in the bud now, if they can. Luckily, Mage has a foolproof plan for how to deal with this.]

    Princess.

[Their tone is serious, as is befitting the situation. They look her in the eye, steady, and the silence hangs in the air for a few seconds. It is important, at times like these, to pause for dramatic effect.

And then, spoken as if the very fate of the world hangs in the balance...]

    I'm bored.

[ Though Aster would never say it out loud in quite as many words, it's fun, travelling with everyone as she is. Often – in fact, most of the time – it's exciting and refreshing, meeting new people, seeing new things and new places she never would've gotten a chance to see, stuck in the palace.

But sometimes things aren't quite so busy and sometimes – like right now, for instance – when they're on a particularly long stretch of travel from point A to point B and there's nothing else to occupy her, the quiet gets to her. It's a bit harder to forget the whole 'looming end of the world' issue when there's nothing else on your mind.

She's sure she's been doing a fantastic job of hiding it, though. After all, she's a princess and should be an expert at keeping a stiff upper lip by now. So when Mage approaches her, as they're taking a little break from the wagon, she doesn't particularly suspect a thing.

    She does, however, scoff. ]

Well, I hardly see how that's my problem to resolve. Unless you wish for me to call out a dancing bear, to prance around for your amusement?

Oh, could you? That would solve my problem very easily.

Oh, is that truly all it would take to entertain you? And here, I had thought you above such boorish practices. It seems I was sadly mistaken.

Seeing you make it happen would be entertaining, yes. Considering the bears in this area, I'd say the odds are much higher that it would maul someone instead.

...I cannot overstate how bored I am.

Ah, it seems I am to be the dancing bear. How frightfully uncouth.

[ But there's the beginnings of a smirk starting to curl the corners of her lips up. ]

You're hardly a child, but how do you feel about a little game? Nothing more than a simple bit of problem solving – more of a logic puzzle, really. I present you with a problem and you must find a solution for it, so long as you adhere to a few very specific rules along the way.
