[ Caelina stares at her with defiance in her eyes but it’s tempered by something else, something Synneve should know the sight of by now and well – fear. It isn’t her own death that scares her. After all, she’s all but a walking corpse already and even if somehow, against all the most impossible of odds, she could be saved then she’s still not sure she could continue on in her own world after everything that’d come to pass.

What scares her is failing. If she does this wrong, if she can’t even end her own life right… then what has she done to protect anyone here?

Well. There’s just one way to be sure of that.
