FOR THE TEEN NOODLE SQUAD

[torya]

[ Sonico doesn't mind guests. She doesn't mind guests at all. In fact, she's always delighted when one of their weird little extended family shows up in Lumiose. She doesn't get to see them as often as she'd like and as much as she loves living here it makes her a little sad when she thinks about how far apart they all are. So guests are fine. Unexpected guests are also fine.

... An unexpected herd of guests with only two hours warning is a little less easy to deal with, especially when they're expecting food (thanks Adachi) but. She can handle it. And besides, she's already home (since it's not like she can go to work now) and she can't turn away these guests.

She manages to make a good heap of food, though. A frankly ridiculous amount of tamagoyaki, plenty of rice, yakionigiri, ikinari dango and a bunch of the sweets she'd been saving. It's not a perfect dinner but she's fairly sure it'll do fine on such short notice.

When she comes to the door, Sonico's looking a little harrassed, but she's smiling too. At least it's only a small herd of guests. ]

Ah, come in, come in! Did you manage to find your way here okay? Sorry I couldn't come and meet you...

[mopocalypse]

Don't worry, don't worry! We're fine! We only got sort of lost, not actual lost. [wave wave] I'm Saigusa Haruka! [She bows and smiles.] I smell something really good...

[torya]

[ She laughs. ]

I know what you mean...! I still get lost around here. There's so many little side streets and avenues... it's hard to keep track of everything.

Oh, um, would you like to sit down and have some tea? Since you came all this way to visit.

[mopocalypse]

Really, really? Sure! [She takes her shoes off and looks down at Meringue, who waddles in with a rock he found on the ground.] There you are! Don't worry about him, uh... Sonico-san. He ate back home.

[Quack.]

Meringue, you ate, like, all the grapes, if you have second supper you're gonna get sick.

[Defeated quack.]

[torya]

Eheh, are you sure he won't have some tea too?

[ She leads Haruka in, through the apartment. It's a fair size for two people but considering it's about to be three and there's a herd of Pokemon between them...

Once they're in the sitting room, Sonico gestures for her to sit down on the sofa. ]

Here! I'll just get the tea and snacks and I'll be right back.

[mopocalypse]

Okay! [She sits down and helps Meringue up.] I guess we're all sort of putting you out right now. I'm sorry. But thanks a lot!

[torya]

No, not at all! [ well. yes. a little bit. but she's not exactly about to say that to Haruka's face, is she? ] People drop in for visits all the time so you don't have to apologize.

I'll be right back, okay?

[ luckily she'd had the foresight to make the tea beforehand so all she has to do is pour it out and then bring the cups back over. As promised, there's one for Meringue. There's some yakionigiri on there too -- she's got enough to set some out with the tea. She sets the tray down on the little coffee table and then takes a seat for herself. ]

Here! I um... wasn't really sure what you'd like to drink so I just made some matcha. Let me know if there's something else you'd like to drink instead!

[mopocalypse]

Thanks! [She helps her Psyduck drink before getting her own cup.] Don't worry, don't worry. I'll totally pay you guys back anyway. I can make tamagoyaki in my sleep! Well, probably. I haven't actually literally tried yet.

[torya]

[ At that she just laughs and shakes her head. ]

No, please don't feel like you've got to pay us back or anything. Like I said, it's nice to have people drop in and visit. It feels like we never see enough of everyone so I'm always glad when someone comes to see us.

Did you look around Lumiose first or did you come straight here? [ well as 'straight here' as you can in this city anyways ]

[mopocalypse]

We did some wandering when we got lost! Everyone has some great ideas about what we should do some time. Like maybe make our own movie! Ryouji-kun's really into that. My friends back home always get into weird plans, too, so it's great!

[torya]

Eheh, you should show me if you make one! I kept meaning to do it but I'd get embarrassed before I could get in front of the camera...

[ modelling is one thing but getting videoed dorking around is quite another and she is terrible at it ]

It looks fun, though...! It's one of the first things everyone says you should try when you're visiting.

[mopocalypse]

Really, really? What else do they say you should try? I've seen the museum, but I dunno if I'd want to go to that. I'm not really the study type.

Oh, there's lots!

[ her eyes are practically sparkling. you give her a chance to talk up Lumiose and she will absolutely take it. ]

You've probably seen how many shops there are around here so if you wanted to, you could spend a day window shopping! And there's plenty of cafes and restaurants to try out too. Oh, or you could visit the Prism Tower if you haven't been there already!

That sounds fun! I think Silver-kun and Meri-Meri were talking about one of the stores they went to where they pretended to be rich... Except aren't they already rich with Dave-kun and the stock market? I forget.

Do places really kick you out unless you're fashionable and famous?

Um... I don't think so? It's never happened to me and Tohru so I wouldn't really know for sure either way.

B--but even if the boutiques do, the cafes definitely wouldn't! There's some really wonderful places to eat around here!

Really, really? What's your favourite kind of food? As for me, I like anything with oranges! Though my specialty is anything with eggs!

[torya]

Oh, I like ramen! But it's a little hard to get around here, eheh... oh, there's lots of cafes that serve steak frites though! It's steak and fries and it's been so good everywhere I've tried it.

You should definitely try bisque, too! It's soup but it's so creamy and smooth...

[ ... she kind of wishes she'd thought to get some things in to make some now she's gushing about Kalos food ]

That sounds great! You really like food, huh?

[torya]

[ She goes a little red, but nods. ]

W--well, there's so many nice cafes around here to try... it'd be a waste if you missed out! And it sounds like you're already doing a lot of the other things I'd tell you to try...

Oh! Actually -- are you just visiting Lumiose or are you going around Kalos too?

[mopocalypse]

I kind of wish I had the time like the others do... But maybe someday I'll get to see the other cities and stuff! How come?

[torya]

Well, if you're visiting places around Kalos then you definitely need to go see the Ambrette Aquarium! It's amazing!

[ time to get HYPE ABOUT MARINE LIFE ]

It's huge and it's full of all kinds of water Pokemon! I've been to all kinds of aquariums back in Japan but I've never seen one like that before!

[mopocalypse]

You really like fish and stuff? That's cool! I guess I don't really think a lot about fish, but they're interesting, huh?

[torya]

I do, I do! I think the ocean's amazing. I was actually studying marine biology at university back home, eheh.

Water Pokemon are so different, though...! And the aquarium's full of all different kinds. It's so pretty!

[mopocalypse]

It sounds like something you really like. Kind of like when Dave-kun talks about Meri-Meri. [laughs and smiles] Must be fun, huh?

It is! And since it’s so close to the sea, you could probably go and visit the beach when you were done. Everywhere in Kalos is pretty, but that stretch of beach is my favourite. It’s perfect when it’s nice and sunny out, especially if you’ve got a picnic and your swimsuit.
