Kuuureeehaaaaaaaan.

[They're in Haruka's room at the school, where she flops dramatically onto the bottom bunk and rolls around the bed.]

I know I've been super lucky this year too, even with having had to redo a year, but what if they actually give me roommates next term? I'm not gonna be able to smuggle you or anyone else into my room or sneak out in the middle of the night, and poor Meringue's gonna have to be stuck in his ball 24/7.

[Meringue, playing with his rocks on the floor, flops dramatically over as well.]

[ and flopped on the pillow like an oversized stuffed bear is Kureha -- looks like she's gone full bear for the occasion, just in case someone walks in while they're talking. She's gotten pretty good at the "I'm just a stuffed animal" charade, after all. ]

You could always say it's easier for you to study or something when you're on your own. They might be a little more accommodating if you're repeating.

But everyone knows I barely ever study at all, and when I do it's because my sister or my friends are in a group already. [She sighs and pets Kureha's head.] Onee-chan's the dorm manager this year along with running the disciplinary committee, so she pulled some strings, but I dunno if that'll last. I'd just quit school, but she'd kill me.

[kurechin]

[ yesssssss pets. you know what a bear wants, Haruka Saigusa. ]

I guess it's not the end of the world if you're not on your own. I can always come visit, but just... not like this.

[ she stands up and pads over so she can flop on the bed next to Haruka. ]

[mopocalypse]

[More pets, then! Yaaay.]

Maybe. I'm gonna miss my friends, though... They're all gonna graduate.

[kurechin]

Yeah... I mean, they can still come and visit you but it's not really the same, is it?

[ she gives a little sigh, on Haruka's behalf. ]

Are they all staying nearby when they graduate?

[mopocalypse]

I hope so. I mean, Kyousuke-senpai went out of town when he graduated this year, but he still comes to see us. We're gonna try and last forever! ...Wait, should we try and keep the baseball team going like an actual school sport? Like, trying to get new players and stuff? Wouldn't that be weird?

[kurechin]

[ Kureha s t r e t c h e s out like a contented cat and huffs out another sigh. ]

I don't think it'd be weird. If you like playing baseball still then you might as well keep playing! And I don't think your friends would mind.

Maybe when they come and visit you could all play against each other.

I guess so! Hey, maybe since Onee-chan doesn't have to... yeah, we could make it a legit school sport. Other places have co-ed baseball teams! We could play other schools way more often! I might have to actually keep my grades up, though.

[ YOU BET SHE DOES ]

Maybe that'll be your motivation to keep studying. Like, every time you want to put the book down and goof off you can just think of all the baseball you'll get to play if your grades stay on track?

Maybe, maybe. I wasn't even really into the whole baseball thing, but things happened, you know? Now baseball is key to the essence of friendship! A symbol of our ordeals and eternal bond! Something like that. I guess it doesn't always work, though. We tried getting Dave-kun to play once. Us versus an entire team of him was kind of... Interesting!

FOR THE TEEN NOODLE SQUAD

[ Sonico doesn't mind guests. She doesn't mind guests at all. In fact, she's always delighted when one of their weird little extended family shows up in Lumiose. She doesn't get to see them as often as she'd like and as much as she loves living here it makes her a little sad when she thinks about how far apart they all are. So guests are fine. Unexpected guests are also fine.

... An unexpected herd of guests with only two hours warning is a little less easy to deal with, especially when they're expecting food (thanks Adachi) but. She can handle it. And besides, she's already home (since it's not like she can go to work now) and she can't turn away these guests.

She manages to make a good heap of food, though. A frankly ridiculous amount of tamagoyaki, plenty of rice, yakionigiri, ikinari dango and a bunch of the sweets she'd been saving. It's not a perfect dinner but she's fairly sure it'll do fine on such short notice.

When she comes to the door, Sonico's looking a little harrassed, but she's smiling too. At least it's only a small herd of guests. ]

Ah, come in, come in! Did you manage to find your way here okay? Sorry I couldn't come and meet you...

[mopocalypse]

Don't worry, don't worry! We're fine! We only got sort of lost, not actual lost. [wave wave] I'm Saigusa Haruka! [She bows and smiles.] I smell something really good...

[torya]

[ She laughs. ]

I know what you mean...! I still get lost around here. There's so many little side streets and avenues... it's hard to keep track of everything.

Oh, um, would you like to sit down and have some tea? Since you came all this way to visit.

[mopocalypse]

Really, really? Sure! [She takes her shoes off and looks down at Meringue, who waddles in with a rock he found on the ground.] There you are! Don't worry about him, uh... Sonico-san. He ate back home.

[Quack.]

Meringue, you ate, like, all the grapes, if you have second supper you're gonna get sick.

[Defeated quack.]

[torya]

Eheh, are you sure he won't have some tea too?

[ She leads Haruka in, through the apartment. It's a fair size for two people but considering it's about to be three and there's a herd of Pokemon between them...

Once they're in the sitting room, Sonico gestures for her to sit down on the sofa. ]

Here! I'll just get the tea and snacks and I'll be right back.

[mopocalypse]

Okay! [She sits down and helps Meringue up.] I guess we're all sort of putting you out right now. I'm sorry. But thanks a lot!

[torya]

No, not at all! [ well. yes. a little bit. but she's not exactly about to say that to Haruka's face, is she? ] People drop in for visits all the time so you don't have to apologize.

I'll be right back, okay?

[ luckily she'd had the foresight to make the tea beforehand so all she has to do is pour it out and then bring the cups back over. As promised, there's one for Meringue. There's some yakionigiri on there too -- she's got enough to set some out with the tea. She sets the tray down on the little coffee table and then takes a seat for herself. ]

Here! I um... wasn't really sure what you'd like to drink so I just made some matcha. Let me know if there's something else you'd like to drink instead!

[mopocalypse]

Thanks! [She helps her Psyduck drink before getting her own cup.] Don't worry, don't worry. I'll totally pay you guys back anyway. I can make tamagoyaki in my sleep! Well, probably. I haven't actually literally tried yet.

[torya]

[ At that she just laughs and shakes her head. ]

No, please don't feel like you've got to pay us back or anything. Like I said, it's nice to have people drop in and visit. It feels like we never see enough of everyone so I'm always glad when someone comes to see us.

Did you look around Lumiose first or did you come straight here? [ well as 'straight here' as you can in this city anyways ]

[mopocalypse]

We did some wandering when we got lost! Everyone has some great ideas about what we should do some time. Like maybe make our own movie! Ryouji-kun's really into that. My friends back home always get into weird plans, too, so it's great!

[Daisuke's visits were always pretty regular- though usually without much warning. It wasn't like he usually had phone signal out in the field. Though when back on base it was easier to get a hold of him.

This time he manages a text- just one badly spelled note that he was stopping by later that day. Which meant he was probably already in Kalos. Somewhere]

[torya]

[ Well at least this time she gets some actual warning -- which means she has some time to actually get some extra food and work out something to make. It's pretty much an unspoken rule that whenever anyone comes to visit Lumiose they get fed and Sonico fully intends to uphold her half. It's just good luck that today's a day off -- though she'd like to think that has a chance of being less good luck and maybe more Daisuke checking ahead to see if she's around. But you never know.

She quickly fires off a reply, letting him know that she's looking forward to seeing him and telling him to let her know what he wants to eat. It's just the two of them she's cooking for today but Sonico knows better than anyone what it takes to fill a bottomless pit like Daisuke. ]

I definitely do! It'll just be us but I'd like to make something special. And besides, I'm already out now, so you don't want it to be a wasted trip, do you? (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧
