VOICETEST CMO FOR NYX SIRIUS/MIRACLE WISH

A voicetest/CMO/whatever for Nyx Sirius, the main antagonist (whoops! Spoilers!) of Starwish Miracle. Once a miraculous heroine herself, her waning belief in the power of miracles lead her to assume the role of a calamitous villain in the hopes of awakening heroes strong enough to defeat her. She poses as the sweet and unassuming Nyx Sullivan in Sidereal Bay and watches over the Miracle Warriors as they hone their strength.

Nyx IS:

A twenty year old cis woman, standing at about 5'6'' with a kind of Gentle Anime Oneesan Sort of build. She has a kind, elegant seeming face with blue eyes and dark purple hair that she typically ties back in a ponytail. When incognito as Nyx Sullivan, she wears a lot of floaty, soft lavender and grey fashions, chunky knit sweaters, mom jeans, that sort of thing, and typically has a paint stained smock on if you catch her at work. As her true self, Nyx is rarely seen outside of her transformed state as Miracle Wish. Imagine something approximately 85% Hatsune Kashiwazaki and 15% Akemi Homura and you've got the right idea.
Gentle, kind and friendly, at least on the surface. As Nyx Sullivan, she presents herself as Just Your Typical Kind, Sweet And A Bit Mysterious Big Sister and very rarely lets people in much further than that.
Ruthlessly cunning and willing to get her hands dirty.
Extremely cautious about letting herself get attached to people
Violently protective of the very few people she is attached to. Yandere Nyx is real and she CAN hurt you.
Absolutely positively going through it, lads!!! She has a terrible inferiority complex combined with some impostor syndrome that, combined with the trauma of seeing her dearest friends die in front of her (even if they came back to life??), has turned her mental and emotional health into total garbage at all times.
Skilled at/knowledgeable about everything the average person can reasonably be expected to be. An accomplished artist and skilled at painting.
Blessed with the powers of 'quintessence' (raw magical energy) and 'miracles'. The latter allows her to completely overturn a situation to her own favor, but only if circumstances are dire enough to class as a 'calamity'.

Nyx IS NOT:

Genuinely cruel, actively malicious or mean-spirited to the average person
Scatter-brained, naive or uneducated
Actually all that evil, despite all her efforts to convince everyone (including herself) otherwise.
Invincible or unstoppable – her control over miracles makes her a formidable opponent but she can be stopped.

[The way the man starts and turns, he obviously didn't see her before she spoke. The dark glasses on his nose and the cane he's holding might hint why not.]

Oh, ah...

[He's on the slender side and soft-spoken, somehow suggesting the delicate even as a full-grown man. Faltering awkwardly, he blinks hard behind his sunglasses as if that can help him make out the woman speaking to him. In the end, he ducks his head a bit and clears his throat.]

Good morning. I'm sorry, I realize it's early. I hope I haven't disturbed anyone. [His line of sight slides towards the front of her studio.] ...Are you the one who works here now?

[ Now that's interesting. He's not someone she's seen around before, she doesn't think – which usually means she's got a tourist on her hands. The way he talks makes it sound like he knows the area...

Well. She'll find out. ]

Oh, there's nothing to apologize for! I was just about to open up anyway, so you're right on time.

[ She slides the key into the old, brassy lock with a satisfying clunk and then turns her attention back to – her customer? That's how things seem to be working out, at least. ]

I've been working here for a while now, yes. Was there something in particular you were coming here for?

...Nostalgia, mostly.

[He has a nice, warm smile, absolutely steeping in loss.]

I sold some of my photography here. I haven't been back in a while, so I thought I might take one more look around while I was in town. If that's all right with you, of course. I wouldn't be long.

[It's there beneath the surface of his words: whatever look he takes, it's going to be the last one.]

[ Though the days is balmy and summery, something cold stirs in Nyx's chest at that. She's gotten good at recognizing the sorts of people who make good candidates to be turned into one of the Empty and... this man may as well be advertising himself as a potential.

The smile she gives him shows none of that, though – it's soft, warm and a little sad on his behalf. Her voice, too, softens. ]

Of course that's alright. Today's usually our quiet day, too, so you can take as long as you'd like.

[ She pushes the door open as she says so. ]

Would you like to come in? I have a pot of coffee brewing, if you'd like something to drink.

[He chuckles, nods, and follows her in, all embarrassed-to-impose.]

Thank you, but please, don't go to any more trouble for me. I'm sure you weren't making that coffee for a morning's random stranger. You're very kind, Miss...?

Nyx Sullivan. [ Said as she steps aside to let him into the studio. ] But please don't feel like you have to 'miss' and 'ma'am' me – just Nyx is fine.

[ It's a small place, even a little cramped – there's storage and work surfaces shoved in every place they'd fit with supplies piled into all the remaining spaces. But one of the walls is practically floor to ceiling windows even in the early morning light, it's a warm and colourful space.

Nyx makes no attempt to hurry him, but shuts the door behind him gently once he's inside. She has an eye on him, trying to work out just what it is about him that makes him seem so deeply sad – but it's too soon to tell. If he opens up and speaks, though, she really might have a candidate on her hands after all. ]
