[ Rin and Tap have been friends online for a little while – hikkikomori girls who do all their socializing in an MMO have to stick together and all that. Or something. And with things... changing... as they have, Rin's been online more and more and as a consequence, they've been hanging out more and more. Today, though, she's running a little late – they usually do dailies together at around this time but Rin's keeping her waiting.

About ten minutes after she should have showed up, though, a DM from her pops up. ]

[ Trying to keep secrets from someone who can read your mind is... interesting. At this point, Akira knows better than to go poking around where he's not welcome (or at least, Ryoko would assume he is) but there's always the chance that something could end up leaking through anyway – or more likely, that someone else at Bright Sparks might let it slip by accident. And, well, it's not like there's really any way to keep it completely secret when they're using the orphanage's kitchen to make chocolate.

But she's nothing if not resourceful. If she can strategize her way through a kaiju battle, then she can easily manage giving chocolate to a boy. Even if he happens to be a boy that she........... doesn't dislike. Sure, that's what we'll call it.

She waits until most of the chaos of chocolate making has subsided and the kids are distracted before she casually pops up at Akira's side, like everything is totally fine and normal. ]

Oh – before I forget. Would you be able to give me a ride to the convenience store? There's a few extra things I wanted to pick up.

[ Something about Yuuto is just a little off from the usual arrivals in Libretto – it's not something concrete that Briar could ever put her finger on, just a little something that feels... not bad, just strange. Different. Of course, no matter how different he might feel to the others, it doesn't change the fact that part of her duty as the someday Imaginier is to make sure everyone feels welcomed to the city, so she's been doing her best to get him settled. And as a happy accident, she's gotten a new friend out of it. So it works out for everyone.

She's shown him around the city (or as much of it as she can with a place as sprawling as Libretto) but today's a little special – so Briar comes hurrying to find him before the day gets too hectic. ]

Yuuto, here you are! Do you have plans today?

[It’s supposed to be rare for people to wander into new worlds, so that is exactly how Yuuto behaves as he is shown around Libretto. It’s a strange feeling to be presented with freedom, when he knows very well that he is not free. Still, he wants to be ‘normal’ and enjoy a friendship. He hasn’t met anyone as kind and friendly as Briar in ages and he wants to stay around her for as long as possible.

Starting with a polite smile and an all too eager;]

Not really! You? [He tries and fails to keep his hopefulness under wraps… But he really hopes that she’s free too and maybe they can spend more time together.]

[ The implications (tm) of her offering to take Yuuto out on an Valentines outing have already visibly gone over her head. ]

[Yuuto is a bit more aware of the implications, but only a bit. He knows that Valentines Day is a romantic holiday in most worlds, but that doesn't mean it has to always be romantic. He assumes that if Briar is the native here, then she know what she's doing.
