[She abandons slowing down her descent and just, hits the ground running. oh god oh god oh god erina's going to kill her and she hasn't even tried the chocolates yet. Erina is going to DOUBLE kill her.]

[In a hallway exactly two floors down from This Disaster, Mercy happens to look out the window as she walks by. What a lovely day- blue sky, white clouds, screaming Erina...]

[She turns away for a split second, fully does a double-take as her conscious brain catches up with what she just saw, and frantically throws the window open to lean out and try to catch Erina.]

[Good news: she succeeds!]

[Bad news: Erina has some decent momentum at this point, and Mercy is 4 foot 10.]

[She doesn't have the weight to do more than slow her down, and now both of them are plummeting towards poor Sara, Mercy still clutching onto the back of Erina's shirt.]

The soundtrack is Zuri yelling incoherently, close enough to see what's going on but too far to do anything to stop it.]

[She still has no idea what's going on, but partner solidarity is a powerful thing. When Sara calls out, Mercy tightens her grip and locks her arms around Erina on pure instinct, still midair.]

not moving from the heap she and Mercy are crumpled in, Erina pops open the badly battered box of chocolates and just... pops one into her mouth. ]

[ From the Crash Pile, Mercy gets to enjoy the now familiar sound and feel of Erina being electrocuted by one of Sara's booby traps. A deathly silence follows.

Then: ]

Hey, Mercy. Fix my leg up?

Oh, sure!

[Sorry, Sara. She's a doctor, she can't not help.]

Saraaaa, she's mobile again! [At least she has the courtesy to shout a warning as she helpfully slaps a bunch of healing energy into Erina's strains and sprains.]

[Honestly, she's probably in better health now than she was before this whole mess started.]

[ There sure is a lot of screaming going on this morning, isn't there? Aurelie isn't even particularly certain she wants to look, given who the likely culprits are, but against her better judgment, she opens up the shade to her window and takes a peek.

Sara, whose sister shoved a rhinoceros beetle in her face and nearly poked her eye out. Mercy, who's one step away from turning into a ficus in the middle of the classroom. Erina Estival -- enough said. All falling from about four or five stories up above.

Aurelie closes the blinds. ]

[Now that the jig is up and Erina knows exactly what is up with the chocolate, via experience, Sara needs a getaway. She knows Mercy, she loves Mercy, but Mercy cannot possibly hold Erina back for long.

She needs a sacrificial scapegoat.

The screaming and whooping and running is all, very suddenly, getting closer and closer to Aurelie's window, and then--]

AURELIE QUICK OPEN UP!!!

[Whether or not she does, of course, it doesn't change Sara's actions. She's leaping, curling up into a ball, and fully intending to just smash through Aurelie's window if it's not open.]

[ Aurelie doesn't have any time to react to the sound of the warning from outside, having already done her best to distance herself from all traces of it. She's seated at her vanity, starting her skincare routine and trying to tune out the spectacle...until in one horrible moment, the spectacle comes straight to her.

A crash doesn't even begin to describe the sound. Wood snapping, glass shattering, the shredding of the wire frame screen just outside: it's utterly cacophonous, and it's enough to make Aurelie jump out of her skin before she can even take in the mess on her dorm room floor.

There are shards of tempered glass everywhere. And lying in a heap on the carpet in the middle of it all is -- ]

[ Aurelie practically screeches, with a face that looks like she's ready to burst into tears. But she's not so heartless, that she doesn't check to see just how badly she hurt herself. ]

[Fortunately, Synchronics are tougher than the average person. Sara may be on the lower end of the Synchronic scale, but that is at least enough to protect her for jumping through glass windows... A fact which, since she has learned, she has waited SO long for the chance to use. And here it is.

She just grins, giving a thumbs-up as she tries to reorient herself. Right, those are her legs, those are her arms, she's more or less in one piece. Sweet. She bounces upright.]

Hi no time to chat Erina's going to super murder me!

[ Relief washes over her, only for a moment...but it's quickly dashed away by urgency, at how quickly Sara bounces upright in an effort to make a break for it. She doesn't even have time to get angry, crochety as she is -- more awestruck, at just how much manic energy this girl has, and at the implication of her words.

She bounds past anger, and jumps straight into terror. Sara turning her room into a disaster is bad enough. If Erina Estival (an angry Erina Estival) comes in here-- ]

We need to hide you! Right now! Immediately!

No, no, it's okay, I don't need to hide, I just need a head start!

[Chaos is the condition of Estella at all times, but even in the depths of chaos, there is a strange order. Everything has rules. Everything, even these bizarre, homicidal chases.

In this case, the chaos and destruction continues until it cannot anymore. But what can stop these horrible messes from tearing a trail straight through the entire city? Only one thing. The one thing that can be 'base' in these bizarre chases.

[ She tries to plea, but her cry falls on deaf ears; she barely has any time to take Âme with her free hand, as she's pulled away from her room -- still in her bath robe, her face covered in toner.

She's on the move. She doesn't want to think about the idea of Erina Estival, crawling in through her window, tearing the place apart in her wake as she pursues them.

How did she get wrapped up in this? ]
