Anika Quinn is about as normal a teenage girl as they come. She's sixteen years old, goes to high school, gets okay grades – oh, and she's also a magical princess from a parallel magical world. But who's asking? As she eventually finds out from her new group of comrades, Anika is actually Regalia Eupheme, magical warrior and princess of the kingdom of Eupheme that fell when she was just a baby. Anika was sent to Earth with the kingdom's greatest treasure, the Regalia of Eupheme, to safeguard both it and her. And now it's time for her to take on the duty given to her and fight as Regalia Eupheme to protect her new home.

... just as soon as she actually figures out how this whole princess thing works, of course.

Anika IS:

• A sixteen year old cis girl, who's pretty average? Really? She's got a pretty face with long, light brown hair that reaches the small of her back. She's about 5'4'' and average build. Really, there's nothing wildly interesting about her regular appearance! As Regalia Eupheme, her hair turns powder blue and she's decked out in a frilly, fluffy magical girl outfit, in blue and white with gold accents (google 'hime lolita' for a general idea of the visual until i get my commission back LOL).
  
• From a "Japanafornia"-esque setting, so think something along the lines of the Western Ace Attorney localizations and you're golden.
  
• To the casual observer, she's human, but to those with fine tuned spiritual or magical senses, they'll be able to pick up that she's ???a container??? for a huge wellspring of magical energy, that happens to be shaped like a teenage girl. Also she's uh, a magical girl, if that's a thing that can be sensed?
  
• Constantly on the verge of falling into a giant pit of anxiety and impostor syndrome!! She's been plagued with the sense that something about her is "wrong" or "missing" since she was very young and does her best to cope with this by being cheerful, chirpy, friendly and always in good spirits. This is actually a little forced on her part, as can become obvious when she's not able to keep it up. Very much a people pleaser, and a bit of a doormat.
  
• Depending on her 'canon' point for any given thread, she may or may not be capable of transforming into Regalia Eupheme. When she is capable of doing so, she does so with the phrase "Eupheme Regalia Engage!", at which point she transforms pretty much instantly with a flash of light. I'M STILL WORKING OUT WHAT HER FINISHER IS SO GET BACK TO ME ON THAT. Since she's still working on this whole magical girl thing, her powerset mostly revolves around copying/piggybacking off the powers of other magical girls. She's hoping to develop her own powers eventually!!!
  
• Skilled at/knowledgable about everything the average person can reasonably be expected to be


Anika IS NOT:

• Genuinely cruel, actively malicious or mean-spirited to the average person
  
• Particularly skilled/experienced as a magical girl

Oh jeez, really? Haha, maybe I'll just start you on soda instead, then. Last thing we need is you all hopped up on the caffeine.

[ She leads Olivia through into the kitchen and gestures to the table, where there's a few chairs neatly pulled up. ]

You can pull up a chair and I'll get us something to drink. Oh, and you can put all your stuff down on the table too, if you want. Saves you carrying it around more.

That does sound troublesome. [Said with a knowing smile as if she knows what caffeine is or what it does.

She sits down carefully, setting her bag in the least invasive spot.] As long as its not too much trouble.

[ From the depths of the fridge: ] Oh, thanks! Though I guess you should probably be saying that to Diana. She did all the decorating, I just keep on top of my chores, you know?

[ She emerges from the fridge with a can of iced coffee – best of both worlds! – that she sets in front of Olivia before taking the seat opposite her with her own can of soda. ]

As for me... um, it's been kind of a process, I guess? Most of the time I feel like I'm waiting for someone to finally jump out, like, "surprise! you're on Prank TV!" or something. You know? Like it's all a big joke and I just haven't caught on yet.

Still, its hard work to keep a nice place clean. You should be proud.

[Aha! She'll sort of cradle the can in her hands for the moment, pretending she knows how to open it.]

I can relate. Its a... new situation. Takes some getting used to.

[ And Anika, by contrast, is casually popping hers open but she makes no move to drink. ]

Yeah. I'm kind of figuring it out as I go, but even then I feel like I'm... behind, I guess? I mean, you guys can fight at least and I haven't even worked that part out yet.

[ She shrugs a little listlessly. ]

I guess sulking on it's not gonna help anyone, but... well, the more I think "sulking doesn't help anybody", the sulkier I get! Hahaha.

It isn't shameful if you can't fight. I'd probably call it a plus in your favor.

Even if that's easier said that done when the brain's being that rude.

I guess! I can't really pretend I'm looking forward to the fighting part. I don't think I've ever even thrown a punch before so I'm sure I'll be any good up against a whole horde of monsters.

[ But! This is getting too much into Her Feelings so she's going to pivot right away from that as smoothly as she can. ]

Anyway! Enough about me being a grump. What's with all this tasty-looking stuff? Did you make it yourself?

Oh, just something I cooked up quick. I’m not sure if it came out right. Ingredients are much harder to choose here. Your stores have way too many options!

Hey, don't talk yourself down like that! I think it's pretty awesome you can bake anything at all. I think the last time I baked anything was for a fundraiser at school and even then I just used a packaged cookie mix.

Well, don't talk down yourself to talk up me! Packaged cookie mix is still cooking!

Oh, just some snickerdoodles. I thought about cupcakes but there wasn't enough time for frosting.

... Okay, not to be dramatic, but snickerdoodles are literally one of my favourite things to eat, ever. Could I try one?

She’s very.... busy. Being a princess means holding a lot of responsibility for the Kingdom. Lots of stress. We all have to do what we can to make things easier for the royal family. Hopefully I’ve helped lessen the load by taking on this role.
