Which is probably to be expected. A real life, honest to god magical girl suddenly showing up isn't exactly what you'd call an everyday occurrence and it's all everyone's been talking about. It's made things feel kind of weird and off-kilter and while everyone else seems to be riled up and excited about it, the whole thing just makes Anika feel weirdly anxious. Even when she's trying not to think about it, there's a weird niggly feeling in the back of her head that won't let her completely put it out of her head.
So the next best thing is for Anika to get out of her own head, at least a little.
Little Kyoto isn't one of her usual hangout spots which is why it's perfect for a bit of metaphorical fresh air. Maybe she'll find somewhere new that she likes and she hasn't shopped before and that can distract her for a bit.
But probably not.
And like any good protagonist distracted schoolgirl, she's off in her thoughts just enough that she doesn't realize she and Ayla are in a collision course with each other until the very last moment. ]
Ah–! [ She just barely manages to avoid straight up bodying the poor girl, and dances back a step or so. ] I'm so sorry...! Wow, my head was really in the clouds...
