[Why is he in an orange jumpsuit. That's the question that's most bothering him right now. Clothes are for organic types with something to hide. He's a robot, he doesn't give a heck about modesty. Even on missions with the Secret FF he's never needed a uniform, Uncle Chuck just kind of gave him the color scheme built in.]

[Plus there's a gap in his memory, he doesn't know how he got here. That should probably be kind of worrying. Maybe this is Eggman? Nah, he would've showed up to gloat on a big screen by now or something. And if he'd been captured he probably would've just been reprogrammed or taken apart for scrap, not dropped in a weird gulag or whatever.]

[So as deathtraps go this is pretty weak so far. He's built better deathtraps than this. At least one. Where's the style, the drama, the innocent mutant fox hanging over a lava pit?]

[ So... Labrys is pretty sure she isn't supposed to be here. There's a big fat blank in her memories of whatever took her from the limo with Aigis and the others and whatever ended her here, and that makes her worried. It makes her thing – did they scoop anything else out, while they were fumbling around in there?

How much?

She's not sure she wants to know the answer.

She's huddled up against the wall as he approaches, running diagnostic after diagnostic, but everything comes back clean. It's suspicious. She's so caught up in her fretting that she barely even notices Shard approach and it's only when he actually speaks up that her head snaps up and she looks at him. ]

[ Sorry. Give her a second to catch up. ]

Uh... do me a favour, rewind all that real quick. Who's this Doctor you're talkin' about? He got somethin' to do with all this?

[Well that's kind of a weird reaction. Might still be a trap, but he's willing enough to wait and see. No point in wasting someone who might be an innocent victim, nevermind possibly rescuing someone from Eggman's influence.]

[As much as possible, anyway, if he's still planting explosives in Legionnaire's cybernetics.]

[ Labrys just looks at him as if he's in the process of growing three new heads. ]

[ She assumes. She's pretty sure she'd remember a guy fitting that description. ]

Ah. Hm. Well, you'd definitely know if you met him, he tends to make sure of that.

...You got any holes in your memory? Specifically vis a vis those snazzy metal add-ons and how you got them?

[ She parrots that back with her brow furrowed in confusion, pretty transparently absolutely baffled. It takes her a second to get exactly what he's implying but then her lips pinch together into a thin line and she shakes her head. ]

Uh– I don't have any add ons, exactly. All a' this– [ She gestures up and down to herself. ] It's all just me.

Oh. Dang.

[He takes a moment to reassess essentially everything about this interaction up to this point.]

Yeah, probably not the doc, then. He usually goes pretty all-in one way or the other. He builds things to look totally organic until you start murdering people, or they're just honest about being all metal.

He sounds like a real peach.

[ Labrys pinches the bridge of her nose in exasperation, like she's trying to ward off a headache that she almost definitely is not physically capable of getting. But if anything could give her one, it'd probably be a messed up situation like this. ]

S'it just the two of us stuck in here? Or have you seen any other folks around?

None yet. But I passed a few doors on the way that might've been other quarters.

[There might be IDs or PIPs or something in play that he's managed to ignore so far, to be fair.]

Plus, you don't see many prisons for just two people.

But you're probably right. Doesn't make a lot of sense to toss up a whole setup like this just for us.
