IT'S A COOKING CMO

that's it... I don't have anything else catchy for this. It's just a CMO for cooking threads. USE AT YOUR LEISURE.

[When Aster and Zinnia first departed together, Zinnia scarcely wore more than animal skins. It took some doing, and a bit of help from Lutea, to get Zinnia into anything resembling clothing acceptable for society. But with perseverance, stubbornness, some cute clothes, and Zinnia's endless trust in Aster, eventually they won her over. Now, Zinnia almost never goes back to animal pelts, even on their days off. She seems almost civilized.

It turns out, however, all of that was only about clothing. It did not count for aprons. And Zinnia is tugging at the one tied on her, standing in the kitchen, looking like this may as well be an alien world as far as she's concerned.]

I do not understand. Why is this. Necessary?

For cleanliness, of course.

[ Aster says this in an incredibly matter of fact way as she ties her own apron. She's doing an impressive job of looking like she knows what she's doing considering that she absolutely does not, in fact, know what she's doing.

But she's clever enough to follow a recipe and they've thrown together mostly edible stews while travelling so with any luck this... might not be a disaster. ]

Surely you wouldn't want your clothes dirtied?

[well. zinnia can follow instructions, at least, and she can be very precise. cutting things will be easy. but the rest...]

... Why would it matter? It is normal. To be dirtied.

[she lives in the wild, or did until recently. Being dirty, using the dirty to hide, even eating food off the ground, these things are just normal to her.]
