[ It's been a good... while since last there was anyone in the forest. It's hard to be sure of exactly how long, when she has so few ways of reliably keeping time out here. It's certainly been more than a day or two and the fact that she's lost count suggests it's been more than a week. But she's yet to see another full moon, which points to it being less than a month.

So. Not the longest it's ever been. Not exactly an age. But still a terribly long time to spend with no company. It's been quiet, and lord knows Camellia is very sick of quiet.

What a surprise, then, when she hears the telltale roar of a car approaching. There's no point in getting her hopes up when she knows it's just going to speed on through. But then it comes closer and closer and eases to a stop and Camellia realizes that the stranger driving this car appears to be just... staying for the night. Do... do they know where they are? This is a very out-of-the-way part of the forest to just set up for the night.

It takes her a little while to pluck up the courage to go and investigate. Not that she expects to get much out of it, either way. But there's always the chance, isn't there?

Which is why, in the dead of night, in this spooky old forest, the brisk sound of footsteps crunching through the undergrowth can be heard. Which is strange, because it's obvious from even the most cursory of glances that there's nobody around. ]
