When she was growing up her family had occasionally celebrated the winter solstice even though the solstices weren't exactly a fixture in traditional Dwarven culture. There's not much reason to mark the change of the seasons when a large swath of your society lives underground and venturing to the surface is a means of banishment. But those winter nights with all seven of her parents were always special to Zerinda. Now it's a comfort to feel like she understands the similarities between the simple traditions she knows and those of her friends.

She's brought a whole stack of homemade presents for her Escape From Under The Sea comrades that she's crafted over the course of this year along with a literal cauldron of hot stew she somehow managed to bring with her. If asked what's in it, she's happy to announce:]
Druffalo! The skeletons got it when it wandered too deep into the bog and I wasn't about to let it go to waste.
[What's that? There's some kind of naked rabbit in a little red and green sweater that has "PRINCESS" embroidered across the back wandering around? Don't worry about it. Zerinda has an eye on her probably.]
