[ It's surreal, sometimes, how easy it's been to slip into a life and a routine here in Sidereal Bay. Easy enough that if she truly put her mind to it, Nyx doesn't think it'd be all that hard to convince herself that the Calamity Kingdom, the Miracle Warriors, all of it – that it was a bad dream, and someone else's problem. But it's also the only reason she's here in the first place and she owes it to her friends, if no one else, to see this through to the end.
So she lets half a year slip by and gives the Miracle Warriors all the time they need. She can be patient – she can be endlessly patient, if that's what it takes for her miracle to come to life.

She's in the back room when Ayla makes her way into the studio – it's the place she does most of her work, at least when she doesn't want to be disturbed. She's made little to no progress today, though, so Ayla's arrival feels like the perfect excuse to take a break. ]
